Prada nylon crossbody — torn seams restitched

Prada · Stitching & repairs

These are not dye jobs. Where leather was replaced, the new part can look lighter than before — that is new leather, not leather dyed lighter.

  3. 03About the work

A black nylon Prada crossbody. The side seams where the strap attaches had carried the weight constantly, and the nylon edges had frayed and torn along the stitch lines.

If frayed nylon is simply restitched, the same spot tears again. The loose threads were tidied and the inside reinforced, then the seams were restitched on the original stitch lines.

The body of the bag and the triangle logo were not touched. In the photos, compare the seams where the strap attaches.
