Dye record

Beige (scuffed corners) → BeigeRestored in the same colour

  1. 01Condition on arrival

A Chanel mini flap in beige lambskin on a gold ball chain. Knocks had dented and scuffed the corners of the flap and body and the side edges, and the scuffed spots stood out.

  2. 02Target colour

A partial re-dye matched to the original beige. Only the damaged areas were worked on.

  3. 03Colour mixing & process

    1. Smoothing the dented areas
    2. Colour matching
    3. Partial re-dyeing
    4. Finishing

The lifted surface was pressed down and smoothed first, then the matched colour went on the damaged corners and edges only. The rest of the leather was not recoloured.

  4. 04Result

In close-ups of the corners, the scuffs now read as beige. Before · photo 5 / After · photo 2

  5. 05Limits

No particular limits were noted. Any difference the leather keeps is explained before work begins.
