Metallic bronze → BlackChanged to a darker colour
01Condition on arrival
A Givenchy Nightingale in metallic bronze leather. The metallic surface had worn and turned blotchy, so the colour was uneven.
02Target colour
The whole bag was taken to black — a change to a darker colour.
In the photos it reads as a metallic mix of olive and brown, unevenly blotched. Before · photo 8
03Colour mixing & process
- Cleaning
- Preparing the base
- Dyeing black
- Finishing
The metallic layer was settled first; left in place, it would have shown gold through the black.
The dye was worked in so the soft, slouchy grain stayed supple.
The 4G logo plate on the handle was left untouched.
04Result
Shot on the same studio set from the same front angle, the whole bag reads as an even black and the logo plate is still gold. Before · photo 8 / After · photo 7
05Limits
No particular limits were noted. Any difference the leather keeps is explained before work begins.
