03About the work
A Chanel bowling bag in ivory quilted canvas with CHANEL lettering. The white leather handles, which get the most handling, were soiled and cracked on the surface, and the leather piping around the body had worn so that its core showed through.
The handles were removed and the edge piping taken out; new handles and piping were made in white leather and reassembled in their original positions. The canvas body and the lettering were not touched.
The first after photo shows the two old handles in front of the bag, so they can be compared directly with the new ones.
