These are not dye jobs. Where leather was replaced, the new part can look lighter than before — that is new leather, not leather dyed lighter.

03About the work
An all-black Gucci GG Marmont — leather, chain and logo. The GG logo on the front is metal with a black coating, and where it rubs each time the bag is opened and closed, the coating had scratched and chipped.
The step between the chipped areas and the remaining coating was levelled first, then the black coating was reapplied and finished. The chevron-quilted leather was not touched.
In the after photos, check that the black of the logo matches the leather and the chain.
