Louis Vuitton embossed Monogram S-lock — clasp re-coated black

Louis Vuitton · Hardware plating & coating

These are not dye jobs. Where leather was replaced, the new part can look lighter than before — that is new leather, not leather dyed lighter.

  3. 03About the work

A vertical Louis Vuitton mini crossbody in black calfskin embossed with the Monogram. The front plate of the S-lock buckle is black-coated metal, and the face that is touched when opening and closing had several lines of scratches.

The scratched surface was finely smoothed, then re-coated in black and finished, keeping the coating light so the LOUIS VUITTON engraving on the plate stays crisp.

The leather body was not touched. Comparing the first photo of each set shows the scratches on the buckle plate are gone.
