Symptom
A Hermès Béarn wallet in taupe (grey-brown) goatskin. The outer leather was in good condition, but opening and closing had worn the edge paint off the folding edges and corners.
Common cause
Edge paint (kirime) is a thin finish on the cut edge of the leather, so it wears first where hands touch it and where it folds.
A common cause of this symptom. The actual cause and the work are decided once we see the bag.
Work
The edge paint was redone to match the original edge colour. The outer leather was not dyed.

닳고 갈라진 테두리 마감을 원래 테두리 색으로 다시 칠합니다
- 들뜨고 갈라진 기존 기리메를 정돈합니다
- 원래 테두리 색에 맞춰 조색합니다
- 테두리 단면에 기리메를 다시 칠합니다
- 단면을 고르게 다듬어 마감합니다
작업 전에 먼저 알려 드리는 점
단면 안쪽 가죽까지 해졌다면 기리메만 다시 칠해서는 정리되지 않습니다. 가죽 보수나 교체가 필요한지 실물을 보고 먼저 말씀드립니다.

닳은 테두리와 모서리 단면을 옆에서 비스듬히, 가까이 찍어 주세요. 원래 테두리 색이 남아 있는 자리도 함께 보내 주시면 색을 맞추는 데 씁니다.
관리 팁
테두리가 하얗게 일어나기 시작할 때 손보면 단면 안쪽 가죽까지 상하지 않습니다. 겉가죽 색은 괜찮은데 테두리만 닳았다면 테두리만 작업할 수 있습니다.
