03About the work
A black leather Saint Laurent belt with a square buckle and a YSL monogram logo. The plating on the buckle frame and the logo had worn away, exposing yellowed base metal and stains in many places.
The buckle and the logo were each prepared to remove the stains and discolouration, then re-plated in a silver tone. Both were matched to the same tone so they would not look different from each other.
The leather strap was left as it was. Compare the yellowed buckle in the intake photos with the after photos, side by side.
